antioxidant ODPA
Chemical Name: Octylated diphenylamine
CAS NO.: 4175-37-5
EC NO.: 224-040-5
Structural Formula:
Molecular formula: C20H27N
Molecular weight: 281
Properties: Light brown powder or granules. Melting point ≥75°C. It is soluble in benzene, dichlorethane, carbon disulfide, acetone and gasoline; insoluble in water.
Functions: ODPA is antioxidant for NR, SBR, NBR and CR. It has good protective character to heat, oxygen, flexing and crazing, and is efficient to rubber whether used together with carbon black. It has obvious thermal brittleness resistance in CR, and can increase its protective character to ozone aging. It is mainly used in tyres, tube tyres, cables, rubber tapes, rubber pipes, filling rings, etc. Normal dosage is 0.5-2 phr.
